A2P Mark - Building Locks

Following the transfer of loss prevention activities from the Apsad to the CNPP, a professional body of insurance companies, accredited by the "Comité Français d'Accréditation - COFRAC" - (French Committee for Accreditation of mechanical protection equipment), certifies industrial products under the A2P mark. This mark guarantees the quality and performance of the protection products against theft and fire.

Applied to building locks, the "A2P- mark concerns locks which have successfully undergone various laboratory tests and trials for measuring their resistance capacity against break-ins. In addition, it also certifies that the products are covered by an inspection of the manufacturing process of the manufacturer.

The building locks and closures, including their safety mechanisms, are classified into three  ( *, **, *** ) categories marked with 1, 2 or 3 stars based on their resistance against break-ins.

The higher the number of attributed stars, the higher the level of resistance.
